Action RPG game, which is the third part of the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. As in the earlier installments of the series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is based on the literary motifs of Andrzej Sapkowski, but is not a direct adaptation of any of his books.
Witcher 3: Dziki Gon (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt) for personal computers is the third edition of the popular series of RPG games based on the prose of Andrzej Sapkowski. The title was produced by CD Projekt RED studio, which is also responsible for the two previous parts - The Witcher of 2007 and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings from 2011. Production in the PC version does not differ from the content of console releases, but users of "blaszaków" received several inaccessible components on other hardware platforms. First of all, they can enjoy the highest possible quality of graphic design and animation at the level of 60 frames per second. Of course, to use all these benefits, you need a powerful computer. The second element that we can not find on the consoles are modifications. In August 2015, CD Projekt RED studio made official modding tools available to interested persons, enabling, among others, any changes of objects, statistics and more. This resulted, among others these mods.
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, PS4 and XONE, we re-play the Witcher, known from earlier versions. The main story axis revolves around several separate threads. Among them was the search for Geralt's lost love and the invasion of Nilfgaard into the Kingdom of the North. We will also try to stop the title Dziki Gon, persecuting the witcher both in novels and present in the first and in a slight degree in the second part of the series. All of these main tasks offer a film-like quality of the story, with branching event paths, impressive cutscenes and carefully sequenced sequences.
Interestingly, we can abandon some of the threads, but we will have to take into account the various consequences resulting from this fact. In addition to the main tales, there is also a swamp of side missions, which in total amount to more than one hundred hours of fun. The authors took care of a wide variety of challenges. During the adventures we will explore, among others caves, ancient ruins and bustling villages. We will hunt monsters for profit and special prizes. There will also be tasks based on investigations. White Wolf can also indulge in a game of card Gwint, which is a separate game in the game.
According to the tradition of the series, the third The Witcher for PC, PS4 and XONE offers a lot of freedom to develop characters, and the plot is heavily branched, so as to allow players to make various choices. At the same time, the virtual world is largely dynamic. For example, some of our actions will make the settlement abandoned by the villagers again peopled after exterminating bandits or monsters. The game has an open-world world that is 40 times more extensive than the one in The Witcher 2. The new engine (REDengine 3) is designed to load data in the background all the time, which almost avoided loading screens - we'll see them when traveling to larger hubs or smaller locations (Kaer Morhen, Skellige Islands, White Orchard and Vizima Castle). Movement is facilitated by the option of riding a horse and a fast journey. With a good steed, it takes about 15 minutes to reach from one end of the map to the other.
Many changes have occurred in the combat system. The artificial intelligence of the opponents has been completely rebuilt. Geralt received 96 animations used in clashes, while in the second part he had only 20. Players can finally interrupt the attack in its course and block blows and perform dodges, even when they run out of fitness, although they are not so effective. The new camera system ensures a clear perspective during the clashes. There were also fights with bosses (including the ice giant), but they are not scripted this time. The character system was also heavily rebuilt. Each of the five has main and alternative ways of doing things. For example, using the Igni sign of the second type, continuous fire burns in the hands of Geralt, and in the case of the Ydren sign, the trap set on the ground not only slows down all enemies in it, but additionally inflicts damage to them.
During clashes, we use the surroundings to a large extent, e.g. we can telekinetically strike the nest of wasps that will attack enemies. However, if they turn to us - we'll burn them with the Igni sign. Expanding the knowledge base about opponents allows you to get to know their weak points. Some of the defeated monsters will leave the ingredients for alchemical and creation of new objects impossible to otherwise get. They also allow Geralt to develop his own mutation tree, providing access to new powers. Players can also develop fencing skills and alchemy.
